common-unity

i read this morning
an interesting break-down
of the word community

common-unity

this way of looking at it seems obvious now
but had never occurred to me before

the same author

states that this union is attained
in the worship of the same truth
and the love of the same good

    this is a test
    apparently some folks are having trouble
    posting comments to communitas dies
    lets see if blogger will let me post a comment

    i do see a note below that there is an error on the page and the little green bar is still slowing counting up to the right suggesting that something is still trying to load
    but i'm going to click "post comment" and see what happens

    i am not logged in
    so it should be treating me as an anonymous commenter

    ok now it is asking me to please choose a profile so i chose google account and will now hit "post comment" again

    ok it took me to the login page
    and i logged in and then it brought me back here
    with my message still intact

    so now i will hit "post comment" one more time

    it worked for me

    J can you tell me what sort of problem you were having? obvioulsy you can't tell me here if you are unable to post a comment, but maybe we could work this out at earthling wonders or bewildering search

    oh and it never asked me for a word verification, so i think you are right, jh, that you didn't set it up to require that

    are you sure that it asks you for a WV or does it just take you to the login page when you try to post a comment? and when you log in, what happens?

    jh i think you probably set it up to disallow anonymous comments but to not require a word verification (those are two different types of security measures)

    is that the way you want it, or would you like me to change it?

    o i guess it's working now
    i don't think i've done anything different

    maybe in stead of despairing of cyber space
    i shoudl be hopeful that community would rise up dn care for the problem

    for now i think it's fixed
    still i think i'm going to learn
    more about smoke signals

    ah welcome back !

    smoke signals
    now there's a concept
    it does make me think
    about long distance communication
    back in the day
    what must that have been like
    waiting months for a letter

    but then smoke signals
    what an ingenious concept
    for the rapid transmission
    of critical information
    i wonder what kinds of messages
    were sent by smoke signals

    actually "smoke signals"
    would be a good name for a blog
    i wonder if it is taken yet
    maybe that should be the name
    of your fourth blog

    maybe we're getting it wrong
    maybe instead of posting endless posts
    to the same blog
    we should be starting a new blog
    any time we have something to say
