this is merely to announce the cognitive shift of
perception and intention of this blog
while maintaining the general title
it is my personal desire to move the conversation
along the lines of christian pilgrimage
for this is the essence of community
this is 'the way' of which we speak
the implication being that
a reading on this blog is tantamount to
taking a step along the camino
you have participated in a movement
known the world round as a pilgrimage
the choices are immense
one can stop turn back or step forward
tentatively even nontheless
welcome
buone camino
keep the conversation moving

ReplyDeletethoughts/questions:
ReplyDelete-what does it mean to be on pilgrimage?
-on the way to canterbury they told stories.
-during my twenties i was always travelling. now i stay put. but my sense of actual change is greater.
-it's a coke/pepsi kind of country. i want to prefer water. nevertheless, i often crave the fizzle and sugar.
i think WB what i'm getting at
ReplyDeleteis the UR experience of christianity
from the outset the christfollowers
saw themselves ON THE WAY
the movement is both physical and intellectual
s well as spiritual as i suppose sally would attest
but in truth i am planning a pilgrimage
an actual walk along one of the
caminos del santiago de compostella
probably the morthern most coastal route
in fact it has begun
i'm just working out the steps now
a person can come along either
literally
or in writing or in prayer for
a good walk
on
the
way
the web community
maybe i should write about that
anyway
good shoes
good humour
good prayer
anything will help us along
wisdom of jesus
lord jesus mercy
jh
i may have invented a new word
ReplyDeletemorthern
yikes sonds like a monster name
morthern of dleglach
anyway
i think the plan is to walk from the pyrennes
to the coast or there abouts
jh
we may of course
ReplyDeleteencounter monsters along the way
like morthern of dleglach
"i'm just working out the steps now"
ReplyDeleteIsn't that always the thing? Reminds me of Paul's letter to the Philippians (I think,) "work out your salvation with fear and trembling. If you take the great morthern, you'll have fear and trembling whether you want it or not!
I once went to Lourdes on the other side of the Pyrenees. I was pretty agnostic at the time, so the thing I remember most were the slugs we found on the trail up the mountain. And the pretty girls I was hiking with. Odd combination that.
